Owl Calendar · Android & web
Wise about your time.
Owl replaces Google Calendar with a calm, private calendar. It syncs through your Nest Drive, reminds you on your phone, and brings your old events along from Google Calendar in one click.
Version 1.0.1 · Android 8.0 or newer · Free · No ads
Features
Everything a calendar should do, and nothing creepy.
Four views
Month, week, day and a simple list of what's coming up. Today is always one tap away.
Repeating events
Daily, weekly, monthly or yearly, with an optional end date. Birthdays are set once and forgotten.
Reminders that work
Notifications on your phone at the right moment, even when Owl is closed and after a restart.
Leave Google in one click
Export from Google Calendar, then import the .ics file into Owl. Repeating events and reminders come along.
Syncs everywhere
Phone, browser and computer stay in step through your Nest Drive. Edit on two devices at once and nothing gets lost.
Private by design
No ads and no one mining your schedule. Your calendar is one file in your own Nest.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
How do I move my events from Google Calendar?
In Google Calendar on a computer, open Settings, then Import & export, then Export. Unzip the download, then in Owl choose the ⋮ menu, then Import from Google Calendar (.ics).
Do I need an account?
To sync between devices, yes: sign in with your Kestrel Cloud or Nest account (the same one as Nest Drive, Quill and Magpie). To just try it, open Owl in your browser, no account needed. That version keeps your calendar in that browser only.
Why do reminders need notification permission?
Android asks once so Owl can alert you before events. Owl only shows your own reminders and never sends anything to us.
