How it works
On your phone and in any browser.
Quill saves your files in a "Quill" folder in your Nest Drive, so they're backed up and you can open them anywhere. Changes save automatically every couple of seconds.
- Install Quill and sign in with your Nest account (Kestrel Cloud or your own server). It's the same account as Nest Drive and Magpie.
- Tap Quill Docs, Sheets or Slides to start, or open a file from your list.
- On a computer, open Quill in your browser right now with no sign-up (files stay on that computer). Or open your Nest server's address and click Quill to work on the same files as your phone.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Can I open Word, Excel or PowerPoint files?
Quill Sheets imports CSV files (Excel and Google Sheets both export CSV), and Quill Docs imports text and web pages. Quill exports to Word (.doc), Excel (.xls), CSV and PDF. Opening .docx, .xlsx and .pptx directly is on the roadmap.
Can two people edit the same file at once?
Not live yet. If a file changes on another device while you're editing, Quill notices and asks whether to load the new version, keep yours, or save yours as a copy, so nothing gets silently overwritten.
Does Quill work offline?
The app opens offline, but saving needs a connection to your Nest. If the connection drops, Quill keeps retrying and tells you when your work is saved.
What's the difference between the browser version and the app?
The browser version on this site needs no account and keeps your files in that browser only. Clearing your browser data deletes them, so download anything important. The app (and Quill on a Nest server) saves to Nest Drive, so your files are backed up and on all your devices.
Where are my files?
In the "Quill" folder of your Nest Drive, as .qdoc, .qsheet and .qslides files. You can move them into any folder you like.
